A new excise tax was introduced rising all retail prices. Both Boon Rawd Brewery and Thai Asia Pacific Brewery introduced smaller pack sizes to maintain their competitive edge. Beer did grow during the World Cup and in Q4s festive season but it wasnt enough to counteract the overall drop seen.
