About Fire Protection Equipment Market for Wind Power Systems
The fire protection systems for wind power systems detect fire in wind turbines and initiate a process that automatically extinguishes the fire present in the wind power systems. Wind is one of the cleanest sources of power generation. The energy present in the wind turns the turbine blades around the rotor, which is connected to the main shaft that spins a generator to create electricity. A gearbox is an integral part of the wind turbine system, which is used to increase the rotor's rotational speed to match the generator speed. Gears in the gear box connect the low-speed shaft to the high-speed shaft. The rotational speed of the generator shaft is higher compared with the rotational speed of turbine blades. The gearbox in a wind turbine does not change gears; it maintains a single-gear ratio between the rotor and the generator. The gears convert low speed to high speed and high torque to low torque. This high-speed shaft generates electricity inside the generator.
