WhatsApp - India’s largest messaging app with more than 200 million users, in January, rolled out another service in the country. WhatsApp Business as it is known is proving to be a boon for young enterprises. The app is specifically aimed to make communication easier for small businesses with their customers.
WhatsApp is not only working to keep the conversation going for startups, several large businesses such as Oyo and BookMyShow have started using the app for communication with customers. WhatsApp Business designed for small business is free to download. Going further, the app is being tested for larger businesses such as an airline, bank, or e-commerce company to communicate with their customers on this platform.
So far, the WhatsApp Business has proved to be a boon for businesses. Businesses have been able to scale up because of personalization and engagement. This is gauged by the likes and heart smileys received if a story is doing well, or not much response if not well received.
