Under Promise and Over Delivery Keeps Crane Solutions Afloat During Economic Crisis

Crane Solutions, a Savannah based company has established itself as a successfully with an ability to weather every economic storm. This company started in 2004 and soon encountered a turbulent economy in a few years. 

Prior to starting Crane Solutions, Brain Dooley had a great career in Atlanta with a lawn care company, which he sold off to start working for Dozier Crane. He initially partnered with his father-in-law at Dozier Crane to learn every aspect of the business right from selling to driving and everything in between. This phase from 1997 to 2004 was a crucial learning curve for Brian. He learnt everything about cranes such as driving, washing, painting, operating, and about different types of cranes before venturing in the crane business.

Working at Dozier helped Dooley to gain an expertise of the rental market and hone his skills of building and maintaining rental accounts. It also gave him enough time to understand every aspect of hydraulic truck cranes, rough terrain cranes, and lattice boom cranes. After seven years of experience at Dozier Crane, Dooley started his own company Crane Solutions, Inc. in Savannah. The property was purchased in 2005 and the company moved to this location by 2007.

In about three and a half years the company grew quickly to US$33 million in terms of revenue with newer machines and high-end rentals. Currently the company keeps 15 to 40 machines for sale and for rent at all times to cater to market fluctuations. According to Dooley, the philosophy that he has been working with is to under promise and over deliver, which keeps his clients happy.
