Samsung Electronics has now moved into a new business of healthcare. It is participating in the Medica trade show, a four day event that is to be held in Dusseldorf, Germany between November 20 and 23. Medica – the world’s biggest expositions in the medical industry has more than 4,000 exhibitors and 130,000 visitors. Samsung Electronics is an active participant in this event and very recently announced that it would foster business offerings pertaining to mobile healthcare as its most sought future growth engines.
In some of the upcoming shows at the event, Samsung will unveil 13 medical devices including the ultrasound diagnostic imaging equipment, digital X-ray machine, and in-vitro diagnostic device. The company also has certain plans to assemble separate booths for ob-gyn, circulatory medicine, and field diagnosis.
However, besides participating at Medica, Samsung Electronics will also take part in the Radiological Society of North America 2013. This event will be held in Chicago from December 1, whereby, Samsung will represent 20 various devices including the portable CT scanner and the digital X-ray equipment which will be for launched next year.
Samsung Electronics plans to be an ace player in the field of medical devices just like how they are in other electronic areas. A Samsung Electronics official said we plan to show our active participation in big international medical exhibitions. This way we will raise brand awareness on each of our products across the globe.
