Robert Bosch GmbH, the German services and technology supplier, has expressed that its business of mobility solutions will expand substantially and will grow at a rate faster than that of the global market for automotive. Such a development is projected to take place even though at present the overall production of vehicles in the global market is quite marginal and sluggish. The mobility solutions of Bosch was earlier known as automotive technology, has grown by approximately 10% in the current year and in terms of currency fluctuations, it rose by 5%.
A senior official at Robert Bosch stated that with the company assuming a dominant role of bringing about positive changes in the automotive sector, Bosch is projected to be quite successful in the areas of connectivity, electrification, and automation. As per sources, the innovations being brought about by Bosch in most of the mobility related growth trends, is helping the company to attract newer customers and is also enabling the company to exploit various business opportunities that go beyond the global automotive market.
Various senior officials at Bosch have attributed the company’s success to its efficient and powerful combustion technology. In the current year, Bosch has plans of selling 10% greater high pressure diesel injection systems and 15% greater volumes of gasoline direct injection systems. In terms of global revenue earned by this company, the contribution of China is close to 13.1%. The earnings of Bosch in China in the earlier year was US$6.4 billion, which indicated an increase of almost 27% from 2013.
At the same time, the company’s global sales increased to 48.9 billion euros, depicting a y-o-y of approximately 7%. According to the company, it is the China market wherein the company has the second highest number of employees. The total number of employees of Bosch in China is greater by 50000 as against the total number of Bosch employees in Germany.
