Chinese smart phones are gaining popularity in the Indian market. OnePlus, a Chinese smart phones company, is ready to launch the invitation-only One smart phone in India.
Many Chinese smart phone brands have got inspired by the success of another smart phone brand called Xiaomi which had successfully launched the Mi 3, a smart phone in the Indian market. The OnePlus One is a typical Chinese smart phone.
A 16GB model of this phone is priced at $299 while the 64GB model is priced at $349. Presently, the availability of OnePlus One is governed by an invite system.
With a 5.5 inch LTPS IPS display and a 1080*1920 pixel resolution, the pixel density provided by the OnePlus One is of 401ppi. It has a 3GB RAM with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 clocked at 2.5GHz and Adreno 330 GPU. It has an adaptive backlight technology often observed in Sharp displays and also has a Gorilla Glass 3 protection display. With a front facing camera of 5-megapixel, it consists of 13-megapixel rear IMX214 sensor consisting of a six-lens array plus f/2.0 aperture with a speed of only 0.3 seconds. However, the OnePlus One does not consist of a slot for placing a micro SD card.
OnePlus One has a software called CyanogenMod ROM known as CM 11S. This software is based on Android 4.4 KitKat.
OnePlus will have to establish its own identity and worth amidst all the other Chinese smart phones already present in the Indian market.
