LG electronics has started its annual innovation festival of the year. The “InnoFest 2015” started last week in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. The innovation festival is catering to some 330 media members and trade visitors and is showcasing the newest products developed by LG that had vowed the audience of the 2015 International CES event that was held early last month in Las Vegas.
LG Electronics’ global sales and marketing head and vice president Wayne Park said that LG is taking a huge step forward in strengthening its status as the leading company in regional markets and all around the globe.
He added that LG is committed towards making the lives of the local consumers more convenient, and the LG innovation festival being held in Malaysia will help the company in getting off to a great start to the year.
At the event, which is in its second year, LG has announced its aim to be a key player in the field of interconnected products for the buzzing smart home concept. The concept of smart homes is a major trend this year and many technology companies are entering the field.
Presenting LG’s strategy for connectivity, open platforms and ecosystem for delivering the customers a great user experience, Eugene Yoo, LG’s general manger for Investments and Strategic Alliances, said that the South Korean technology company has also developed the home chat and cloud platforms for enabling people a way to monitor and control connected electronic devices. These platforms are connected through an application on the user’s smart phone systems, or through instructions to devices through a messaging service.
