Published on March 31, 2016 the safety alert stated of recording a small list of negative observations that could be associated to interference of CT scanner with implant devices. The implants include insulin pumps, electronic implantable cardiac devices, and neurostimulators. To redress this, FDA suggested that CT scan could be performed if operators were aware of the implant devices and kept primary X-ray stream away from the implant.
