HBO is the latest victim of hacking and data breach after hackers broke into the private network of the channel and stole the script of the very famous show “Game of Thrones”. Not only Game of Thrones, but unseen and script copies of many other shows of HBO were also hacked and put online and circulated a group of hackers that breached through the firm’s network. The hackers also uploaded a text file of the GoT instalment and also an interpreted video of the script as well. The hackers also shared three episodes of other popular HBO TV shows as well on the site which was created to display the stolen items. The group that was behind the breach said that it had managed to grab over 1.5 terabytes of data from the network of the firm.
Hacking and Counting
On Monday, the news of HBO being hit by a cyber-attack was spread furiously over the media industry. The investigation began instantly and the officials in the firm started their conversation with cyber-security firms and law enforcement organizations.
