As per the BA (Brewers Association) the craft brewing market has been a prospering one for quite some time now. And this market registered a considerably high rate of growth during the first six months of 2015. The Brewers Association is a trade association which is dedicated to independent and small craft brewers of America. The total production volume of craft beer had risen by almost 16% over the initial months of this year.

Between January and June 2015, close to 12 million beer barrels had been sold by American craft brewers. This indicated an increase from 10 million beer barrels that were sold during the first six months of 2014. A senior economist at the Brewers Association stated that the growth of this industry is being observed in several regions of the world in the face of varying retail settings and differing business models.

The fact that the small brewers are prospering shows that there is significant demand in the global market and it also indicates the available opportunities in the market for small brewers to thrive and establish themselves in the long run. The degree of competition, however remains quite high, which calls for product differentiation and better quality of beer at the global platform. A vast section of the American population is realizing the joys of consuming beer that is produced in local and neighborhood breweries.

With rising demand for beer from local and small breweries, the American beer market is moving back towards localized beer manufacturing. As per the reports released on 30th June 2015, there were more than 3700 breweries in the U.S. which pointed to a rise of almost 700 breweries from the same time the year earlier. The total number of workers employed by Craft brewers is estimated to be 115469 which includes both part-time and full-time employees.
