In a recent development, China appealed to the United States to acknowledge its industrial development. This is following U.S. intelligence official’s accusation on Beijing for stealing copies of foreign technology.

In this matter, a spokesperson of the Chinese foreign ministry, Geng Shaung stated it is totally unreasonable to make random derogatory remarks for a nation.

Earlier in the week, U.S. intelligence officials stated China to be the major commercial and military threat to the country. The official also accused china for stealing and copying others’ technology that it is unable to develop on its own.

The Chinese spokesperson further stated that the U.S. is the biggest power when compared to other countries in terms of technology. Moreover, the spokesperson expected U.S. to have an open and inclusive attitude towards scientific and technological strides made by other countries.

Recently, Chinese multinational telecommunications equipment and consumer electronics manufacturer, Huawei was also charged for stealing U.S. technology.

Huawei Conflict: U.S. to Increase Import Charge on China

The U.S. has raised objections against China’s plan for state-driven development of highly advanced technologies. This is because American officials opine it violates Beijing’s market-opening promises.

The delegates meeting in U.S. are subject to a March 2 deadline. The United States government is now planning to increase its duty on $200 billion valuation of China’s imports from 10 percent to 25 percent if they do not have consensus until then.
