Traditionally, rechargeable batteries have been used as energy dense products and the other devices based on capacitors have been used as power dense products. There are more-power-dense versions of the favourite rechargeable batteries - lithium-ion with 70% or so of the rechargeable battery market in 2023. Unfortunately, power dense rechargeable batteries surrender a lot of energy density. It is therefore helpful that more and more energy dense supercapacitors and variants are becoming available, some even matching lead acid batteries and yet retaining excellent power density. This convergence of properties has led to the widespread combination of the two in parallel, particularly in power applications. Battery/supercapacitor combinations approach the performance of an ideal...

Smart Microgrid Market - Global Industry Analysis, Market Size, Share, Growth, Trends And Forecast 2014 - 2020
By - Transparency Market Research
Growing global energy demand and increasing share of renewable energy sources in the global installed capacity are bolstering the demand for smart microgrid. Microgrids are smaller versions of the conventional power grids and are designed to serve localized electric loads. They incorporate distributed energy resources (DER) such as micro-turbines, wind and photovoltaic in parallel with the conventional power grid. The distributed energy resources (DER) allow microgrids to run in an islanding mode on account of which the microgrid and loads they serve are protected from the disturbances...
Ancillary Hospital Locations (ERs, ORs, ICUs) Testing Market - Global Industry Analysis, Size, Share, Growth, Trends and Forecast, 2013 - 2019
By - Transparency Market Research
Ancillary locations i.e. Emergency room (ER), Operation Room (OR) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) are critical care centers in a hospital. Diagnostic testing at these care centers must be immediate and accurate so as to deliver appropriate treatment for disease. Majority of the testing includes complete blood count (CBC), urine analysis, electrocardiogram (ECG) and X ray. Disease diagnosis is also a major part of the diagnostic testing done at the ancillary locations. The diagnosis guides the course of treatment process which may involve replacing or modifying the treatment process...

Stem Cells to Lead to Healing of Tendons and Lower the Risk of Retears in Rotator Cuff Operations
Mar 30, 2015
While conducting a rotator cuff operation when an injection comprising the stem cells of bone marrow is used in a patient, it leads to greater tendon durability and better healing. On an annual basis, the U.S. reports close to 2 million cases of rotator cuff surgery. This surgery basically aims at re-attaching the shoulder tendon with the top part of the bone of the upper arm (also known as...
Discovery of a Genetic Link for Treating Liver Related Anomalies
Mar 30, 2015
Most of the times, any kind of damage that happens to the liver is an irreversible process. But in almost 25 to 30% alcoholics the only solution for issues such as fibrosis, fat accumulation in the liver, and cirrhosis is liver transplant. Latest research and study indicates that certain types of gene mutations might lead to liver cirrhosis that is irreversible. There is likely to be a...
