Product Synopsis

Don't do anything until you have consulted the Worlds largest database of RFID in Action
Has it been done before? What paybacks, costs etc can be expected. Lessons of success and failure? What is happening in my territory/ technology/applicational sector?
These and many other questions can be answered saving time and money, improving forecasts and expectations, convincing the doubters, helping you raise investment...
Welcome to the most comprehensive on-line searchable database of constantly updated RFID case studies

Renowned philosopher, Francis Bacon, was famous for saying "Knowledge is Power". At IDTechEx, our belief is that only by sharing knowledge does it become truly powerful! By collating this database of case studies, we are able to present a wealth of RFID knowledge to tell you who the main protagonists are, what technologies they are using, what status their projects are, are they succeeding? We can help you avoid failure, advise on technology and emerging applications, and tell you which countries are leading the way?

The RFID Knowledgebase has the answers to your questions

It is categorised into 13 different application areas, each with a summary of that particular area and key statistics related to it. The applications areas are:

  • Airlines and Airports
  • Animals and Farming
  • Financial and Security
  • Healthcare
  • Land and Sea Logistics
  • Laundry
  • Leisure
  • Libraries and archiving
  • Manufacturing
  • Military
  • Other
  • Passenger Transport
  • Retail/CPG
Each case study has a summary of key parameters, including location, partner companies, technologies used (tag type, frequency), status and major benefits and more. A comprehensive description then follows, which discusses the strengths and weaknesses of each project, and provides expert interpretation of this data. In addition, clicking on a company name will take you through to a profile of the company, including contact details.

Hundreds of company presentations given at IDTechEx conferences have now also been linked to the relevant case study/company profile. Many even include the audio of the presentation itself so you can hear them discuss their case study! Every month about 50 RFID case studies are added or updated to ensure that the RFID Knowledgebase continues to provide you the best coverage of this emerging and rapidly expanding market.

The knowledgebase is fully searchable by many parameters including company, country, tag type, application area etc. See here for a further range of the searchable options.
NEW! The RFID Knowledgebase now includes RFID forecasts from 2007 to 2012 taken from the IDTechEx research report RFID Forecasts, Players & Opportunities 2007-2017, which analyses the industry in many different ways.

Purpose

The IDTechEx RFID Knowledgebase is about 100 times the size of any alternative. Unlike most other collections of RFID case studies, this one is unbiased and it contains very little company publicity, because this can be misleading. Where company press releases etc are included it is made clear what these are, so they can be distinguished from independent IDTechEx commentary. With dedicated full time staff behind it, there are at least 50 new case studies added each month, so keep checking if you cannot find what you seek or you wish to spot trends.

The purpose of the Knowledgebase is to give guidance to subscribers on a very wide range of aspects of RFID in action and some quantitative indications. For example, a user can check what work a supplier has already done and whether that application - say tagging guns has been done before and what the lessons are. One can get an indication of which countries are adopting RFID fastest and which have done most so far. Which frequencies are used for which application? Which sectors are most active? Is read write or read only dominant and why? The answers to all these questions and more are to be found in this rapidly evolving resource.

    By - Transparency

Over the years photovoltaic systems have been successfully deployed on land and in free space to generate energy. These commonly used solar energy systems have two weaknesses: cost associated with the solar cells fabrication & maintenance and requirement of vast land area. These challenges are recovered by the new floating solar panels systems. In past few years, a myriad of solar systems have been installed on rivers, canals, reservoirs, ponds and oceans; augmenting the global market for floating solar panels. The leading companies in the solar market struggle to find land to install...
