The World Islamic Travel Summit (WITS15) will make its debut at Abu Dhabi on October 19-20 in 2015. This is one the biggest showcase of Halal travel and tourism services and is all set to make its entry at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ANDEC) in the next year. The event will have more than 200 participants along with a 1,000 delegate conference, which will be inclusive of panel discussions, comprising keynote sessions, a Ministerial debate, and 150 presentations of which 70 will have international speakers.
Hosam Moustafa, event manager stated, Halal tourism is gaining great demand as it presently holds a 13% share in the global market. Analysts predict till 2020 Muslim international tourism will improve at a rapid pace as compared regular tourism at 4.79% versus 3.8%. In this time in future, the annual spending of Muslims would have reached US$192 billion, a figure that is exclusive of Umrah and Hajj expenditures.
In the light of these developments, an event such as World Islamic Travel Summit (WITS15) will make a great impact on potential market by echoing to its sensibilities. WITS15 will draw in high profile attendance from tourism associations, government delegations, private sectors, and big financers who fund Islamic tourism projects.
