With the finalization of the USB Type-C specifications within the cable & wire segment, the USB 3.0 Promoter Group is earnestly looking forward to making the mobile users lives little easier. The USB Type-C connectors and cables are aimed at providing services to the smartphones. However, the organization backing these cable wires say the USBs are robust for the use laptops and tablets too.

The good news about these cables is that the connectors available on the cable and matching receptacle permits an insertion of the cable smoothly without you being concerned about the orientation procedure. This concept is miniscule in comparison to the Apple’s Lightning Connector. But the advantage with the USB Type-C is it offers 3.0 speed, unlike the lightning that is only limited to USB 2.0 speeds.

Moreover, the SuperSpeed USB 10 Gbps has the potential to deliver speed up to 100W of power. The USB 10 Gbps is the (USB 3.1) product of USB-IF. The big takeaway about this product specification is that it allows notebooks to be charged through USB connections. However, the question still remains how many manufacturers will benefit from this feature.

The President and COO at USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF), Jeff Ravencraft commented that USB is the most trusted and reputed luxury brand in the consumer market. With adaption of new technology for a convenient future, USB brand promises to continue giving efficient services through the new USB Type-C connector and cable.

Since the product is finalized, the USB-IF is now responsible of managing and handling certification and compliance duties pertaining to the product.
