Sprint, a U.S. based telecommunications company, is carrying out investments in Chicago, since this city happens to be its major carrier markets. The company has plans of increasing its network and will also be focusing greatly on retail expansion. The company stated that it has plans of creating almost 750 new jobs in the neighborhood area all over Chicago and also intends on investing US$150 million by the end of next year.

During an event in Chicago yesterday, a senior official at Sprint and the mayor of Chicago stressed on the number of jobs that such as step will lead to. The total number of jobs that are expected to be created are around 300. Sprint also stated that in addition to the entire area of Chicagoland that includes suburban areas such as Gurnee, Schaumburg, Rosemont, and Aurora, it will be adding almost 540 newer jobs and will be setting up greater than almost 115 stores. 

The additional jobs includes newer retail positions and also wireless experts in the Direct 2 You program of Sprint’s. In this program there will be employees trained at Sprint who will be driving around in order to meet new customers before finally setting up the new smartphones, and also network engineers and technicians.
