A U.S. software firm called SmartBear has decided to create 100 jobs over the next five years in Co. Galway. This news was just confirmed on early Thursday.
SmartBear is a software developing firm based in Massachusetts that provides tools for developers in the technical industry. It establishes its European headquarters in Galway and the investment is supported through IDA Ireland.
The new office set up lately is all set to create roles in marketing, sales, operations, customer support, finance, and software development. SmartBear operates in its additional offices situated in the United States, Spain, Sweden, and Russia. It has customers in over 90 countries too.
The chief executive of the company, Doug McNary said the company is all excited about the opening in the European Headquarters in Ireland. Considering the Galway’s enthusiastic ICT cluster, the attractive lifestyle and pro-business environment, Galway poses to be the perfect choice for SmartBear with the support of IDA Ireland.
Furthermore, the minister for jobs Richard Bruton also welcomed the announcement and said it was a great boost for the region.
