In a press conference recently held in Beijing, PepsiCo announced that the company has signed a pact with JD.com, the company which is one of the leading e-commerce company in China for direct sales. The agreement is for sales of Quaker High Fiber Oats Dairy Drink, which is the first high-end dairy product of the company in China, to be sold via JD.com.
The launch is PepsiCo’s endeavor for a product to be exclusively available through online selling outside the U.S. This also showcases the significance of PepsiCo’s entry into the popular beverage market in China and the strength of JD.com.
With this strategic partnership, Chinese consumers will be benefitted to buy latest healthy beverages with the convenience of fast-paced shopping.
PepsiCo is launching the product in China with the aim to take advantage of the fast growing, value-added dairy market in China and to fulfill consumer’s demand for healthy beverages for a fast-paced lifestyle. The product is made from Finest Australian Quaker oats processed with high quality milk procured from New Zealand.
The product, Quaker High Fiber Oats Dairy Drink is manufactured employing ‘ Solu-Oats’, which is a patented technology of the company. Using this ground oats are completely blend with milk. This drink is unique as it not only keeps the nutritional ingredients of the natural whole grains and also boasts a smooth and silky texture loaded with plentiful dietary fiber.
The launch of PepsiCo’s first drink on JD.com is a concatenation of mutual strengths of both the companies. The e-commerce has more than 100 million active users, which positions the company as a mature e-commerce platform and a company owned logistics systems that covers all of China.
