The new airline in Malaysia has its unveiling plans due, said the Malaysia’s government. The new airline has signed the $1.5bn contract with Bombardier around 20 new aircrafts. The new aircraft carrier is planned to call flymojo. It is based out in East Malaysia (Kota Kinabalu) and Johor Bahru in the south of Malaysia.
The new aircraft carrier has the option to purchase 20 more aircrafts which takes its value up to $2.9 billion. In the recent months the airlines in this region has faced three aviation disasters.
In one of the recent incident, the AirAsia plane crashed into the Java Sea on its way to Surabaya in December. Around 162 people were killed on board. Moreover, the Malaysian Airlines over pro-Russian in eastern Ukraine was shot down. It killed 298 people.
Following to this incident was another plane incident that disappeared after its flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. This incident took place in March 2014 and had no trace of the plane.
Nevertheless, the commencement of the new airline was announced at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace exhibition. The Prime Minister also attended the event.
Moreover, the deputy minister of transport added that the new airline is expected to play a significant role in improving the air travel conditions between the Malaysian Peninsula and several other parts of the region.
Flymojo is expected to transform Senai into the key regional logistics and aviation center. This will augment the government’s plans and strategic initiatives in developing the southern corridor and Iskandar Malaysia, added Bombardier in a company statement.
The ordered planes from Bombardier have seat up to 125 people making the airlines the first in the region to operate the aircraft.
Some of the local reports mention that the airline is scheduled to begin its operations from October 2015.
