With this year’s IFA tech fair just round the corner, the participating companies are gearing up to showcase their latest gadgets. LG Electronics will be putting up an all-new set of appliances on display at the Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA) to be held from September 5 at Berlin. Televisions and wireless vacuum cleaners are two of its top devices on exhibit.
LG’s UHD-class organic light-emitting diode (OLED) television, which is expected to replace LCD televisions in a few years, will be its first at the German tech fair. OLED televisions are superior to LCD or liquid crystal display televisions on account of the brilliant visual clarity and other technological advances. The “cord-zero” model of wireless vacuum cleaners will also be showcased, which has an improved battery capacity and sweeping power.
Samsung Electronics, too, will be showcasing its range of new televisions and its updated smart home technology at Europe’s biggest consumer electronics fair. At its “unpacking” event on September 3, Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Note 4 as well as the smartwatch Samsung Gear S. the smart home range of appliances use Internet of Things (IoT) technology which will allow users to remotely or automatically control appliances such as air conditioners, lighting systems, and washing machines. The lineup will be equipped with new functions in terms of energy monitoring, voice control, location recognition, and safety service. Samsung Electronics will also display its 78-inch bendable UHD television and 105-inch curved UHD television at the IFA fair.
Around 1,500 companies from 47 nations will be participating in the technology fair, and nearly 240,000 spectators are expected to attend the conference in Berlin.
