With the aim of boosting the Human Resources department and improve employee performance, International Business Machines (IBM) has created a new consulting practice and launched three cloud services. The cloud services, which revolve around IBM’s Kenexa software and services, help the business deal with changes in the organization and solve HR problems.
The Smarter Workforce initiative utilizes statistical analysis, psychological assessment and behavioral science to elevate performance. Kenexa Predictive Hiring assesses behavioral patterns to find the top performers. It understands the traits that are found in most top performers and then combs through the candidates to identify the best of the lot. Kenexa Workforce Readiness creates a skills framework and role-based competency testing in order to build the most appropriate teams within the company. Kenexa Predictive Retention aims to find out reasons why employees leave, the best way to keep them happy in the organization and to help top performers continue delivering their best work.
Apart from these, IBM is also launching a consulting practice called Talent and Change. Under the practice, HR professionals will be provided with more than 100 behavioral scientists and over 1,600 management experts. The program, similar to the cloud services, will enable the HR department to identify excellent performers, evaluate their workforce readiness and safeguard the company against future talent reduction.
Another organization that uses IBM’s Smarter Workforce is The Military Spouse Corporate Career Network and the analytics service software has successfully placed over 20,000 military spouses and more than 8,000 transitioning military veterans and members.
