Leading business analysts are vying on the healthcare industry in China to emerge as the engine of the alleged green GDP growth. Green GDP growth entails environmentally sustainable economic growth. China has been increasingly adopting strategies to ascertain green development of its economic sectors. Healthcare industry of the country shouldn’t be left far behind as well. Speaking about the rising initiatives taken by the regulatory bodies in China to curb the effects of eco-depletion the president of People’s Daily, Zhang Jianxing said during his speech at a forum about healthcare and ecology that increased focus on environmental protection will fuel advances and evolution in the healthcare industry of China. The forum was held at Huzhou located in Zhejiang Province in China on Wednesday.
Leading players in the healthcare industry of China has been adopting significant strategies to incorporate eco-friendly concepts to their operations. Growing trend of adopting eco-friendly strategies is likely boost the market for eco-friendly products in China, as noted by the business analysts.
Speaking about the latest go-green developments in China, the former foreign trade minister of the country Long Yongtu said economic development of population in China will aid the expansion of digital media in the country. Meanwhile growth in aging population will boost the market for travel and energy-efficient lifestyle after retirement among the local population.
Increasing geriatric population of the country has also acted in favor of the healthcare industry in China.According to a recent study published by a consulting firm in Deloitte in January, the annual expenditure of China on healthcare sector is projected to increase at an average of 11.8%between 2014 and 2018. The increasing healthcare funding will be majorly driven by the country’s government which is likely to introduce multiple healthcare reforms.
