Leading national post acute provider organization and acute hospitalist IPC Healthcare announced on Thursday its acquisition of the following health care practices based in Ocala, Florida: Hospitalists of Ocala, LLC, Ocala Hospital Group, PA, and Ocala Geriatric Services. These acquisitions support IPC Healthcare’s strong market presence for post acute as well as acute services in the region of Ocala.
President and chief operating officer of IPC Healthcare R Jeffrey Taylor said that the company continues to pay attention towards the acquisitions of companies and practices that help in improving IPC Healthcare’s presence in current markets. The firm is extremely excited to welcome the team of talented and skilled clinicians and practitioners of the three firms to the family of IPC Healthcare. Jeffery said that the company already overlaps with these three firms in many facilities and through consolidation, they believe that IPC can eventually offer a more aligned and consistent service to the community as well as to the facilities.
These three acquisitions by IPC Healthcare are anticipated to jointly add over 130,000 visits on an annual basis.
Last week, IPC Healthcare announced its acquisition of a psychiatry practice owned by Ashit K Vijapura, MD. This practice based in Tampa, Florida mainly focuses on offering psychiatry services in post acute as well as acute settings.
Jeffery Taylor said that the company was pleased to welcome Dr Vijapura and his team, since post acute and acute settings have lately been witnessing the need for quality clinical programs pertaining to behavioral health. Dr Vijapura’s practice will not only expand IPC Healthcare’s intellectual capital but also have a positive impact on its capabilities in this significant subspecialty area.
Dr Vijapura will be joining IPC Healthcare as the Practice Group Leader within the Tampa area.
