Carter also addressed reporters in Vietnam on JUNE 1, and said the United States is in favor of a permanent stopping of militarization and reclamation and in the South China Sea.
The United States is absolutely not in favor of militarization, and it strongly opposes tensions in the islands of the South China Sea. Carter also addressed on a visit to Hanoi, which is getting influenced by China’s island building and have constructed some new islands on the sea.
Carter further commented, the military ships and aircrafts of the United States will not receive restrictionsFrom China for surveillance flights or to conduct ship transits in the ocean.
