The brand new imported line is all set to break out its appearance at the annual sales at Blackheath Products by £1.5million to £25m a year.
Blackheath Products Ltd has assured an amount of £300,000 funding package from HSBC’s Birmingham Commercial Centre to back the import of the new product line which happens to be a decorative laminate, solid wood and surface worktop distributor.
The Halesowen-based company is into the activity of importing colored acrylic panels which have the look and feel of glass. However, this glass is 25 times the strength, from Australia. The new product - Akrilis aimed to be dished at the architectural and interior design market.
Blackheathwas founded in the 1930s as a timber component supplier for the furniture industry.It is a fifth generation companythatemploys 105 peopleand operates from a 100,000 sqft site on Fairfield Park.
Joanne Yapp-Pennino, the senior international commercial manager has managed the company’s relationship status and handled the finance as well since 2009. All of the funding is been allocated from HSBC’s £500m SME Fund for West Midlands businesses. The £200m worth of amount has been kept aside specifically for businesses from Birmingham.
Joanneadded that Blackheathhas been in family hands ever since it was founded. The company continues to offer a better service to its customers and this new product is the next stage in the company’s development.
The company that supplies Akrilformerly focused on supplying to the automotive sector. But now it targets other sectors as well.
